I was drawn to the first butterfly because of its unique shape, eye-catching orange hue, and thick black stripes. I chose the second butterfly because I like its aqua green color and the contrast of the bright inner color and sharp black outer edges. I was also drawn to the idea of using these two images together in a project because the bright orange and aqua green contrast together nicely.

I chose this photo because the sunflower is my favorite flower. I love its bright yellow color and large size, and I think that sunflowers are a classic way to communicate a sunny, happy mood.

3. Seashells

I chose seashells because I love the beach and because they make me think of summer. I like seashells because each has their own unique shape and color. I chose the first seashell because I like the off-white/tan color and ideal conch shell shape, and the second shell because I was drawn to its dark reddish brown hue and interesting texture.

4. Strawberry

I chose a strawberry because it is my favorite fruit, whether served fresh by itself or mixed into a frozen drink, smoothie, or fruit salad. I also think strawberries are very visually appealing, with their bright red bodies contrasted by a fresh green stem. Strawberries are associated with spring and summer when they are at their peak growing season.

5. Clouds

I chose this image because it is a fairly simple way to fill in space with a variety of color and shapes. I love looking at a blue sky with the sun peeking through white fluffy clouds.
